Virginia’s “Personhood Bill”, which would have essentially made abortions in the state either impossible, illegal, or humiliating by the use of trans-vaginal ultrasound, was defeated in a 24-12 vote.   The Senate agreed to table the legislation until next year’s legislative session.

For now, women’s rights are in place in Virginia, but the crazy evangelicals are sure to continue the insanity, one way or another.
